Honoring the land's first caretakers.
Long before Glenwood Springs had a name, the Ute people, who lived and hunted in these mountains for centuries, were the first known visitors of the area's hot springs, calling them "Yampah" - meaning "Big Medicine." They were the first known visitors to the mineral-rich waters that flowed along the banks of the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon, returning to the springs season after season for their healing powers. Yampah was a site for sacred rituals, where the Utes used the vapor caves to heal their sick.
The Ute Suite is named in honor of that history - a quiet nod to the very first people who recognized what makes this valley special, long before it became the resort town it is today.
Inside, a comfortable king-size bed anchors a warm, inviting space designed for rest and reconnection - a fitting tribute to a place that has welcomed travelers seeking healing and renewal for generations.
